We have tomatoes. Some of the big regular variety, but mostly cherry.

We have tomatoes in the fridge.

We have tomatoes on the counter.

We have tomatoes on the porch.

We gave some to the neighbors.

Tonight, my dad is taking tomatoes as a hostess gift to a dinner party.

There are still tomatoes in the garden.

So when I say "we have tomatoes", I mean we HAVE tomatoes.

(did you notice that "tomatoes" is one of those words that, if you say it enough, starts to sound kinda ridiculous?)

too bad tomatoes make me gag.. literally..

Here's my suggestion.. let they rot a little.. drive down to DC.. throw them at the White House..

oh wait.. Dubya is on a 35 day vacation.. guess you'll need to head down to Texas..

as was sent to me this morning:
"President Bush held his first full press conference in over five months this week. He announced that the war on terrorism is continuing, much, much more work needs to be done on the economy, and Saddam Hussein has not yet been captured. And then he said, 'I'm going on vacation for a month.'" Jay Leno

"President Bush is leaving to go to Crawford, Texas, for a 35-day working vacation. This should go over big with all the people taking a can't-get-work vacation." David Letterman

"President Bush's economic team is now on their jobs and growth bus tour all across America. I think the only job they created so far is for the guy driving the bus." Jay Leno

I like tomatoes...cooked and in sauce. Hey, have you ever seen "The Last Supper"? Great movie, truly, truly. :-)

Heard of it, never seen it.

Does it have something to do with tomoatoes, or is it just a random suggestion? :)

Home grown tomatoes/ home grown tomatoes/ what' would life be without home grown tomatoes, only two things that money can't buy and that's true love and home grown tomatoes!

(you have a friend in Alaska who would love to have some of the excess)

Interesting to see Leno doing Bush jokes. I expect it from Letterman, but Leno kind of surprises me.

Wait.... you want the excess tomatoes, or excess true love? I'm confused.....

*L* Oh, yeah...you probably know the basic premises of what the movie is about, right? Well, they end up burying the dead bodies beneath the tomato plants and making sauces with the tomatoes.

Trust me, I didn't spoil anything for you. You should totally still rent it sometime. It rocks. :-)

Yeah, an excess in "true" love never got anyone in trouble... I think I'll take the tomotos...

One thing about Bush's landing in office: dozens of comedians knew they'd be able to keep their jobs. He just supplies too much good material.
