I played in Palatine tonight. And it didn't rain! WOOHOO!!!!! I was very pleased to finally find out what the outdoor amphitheater looked like at that venue. Its very pretty. It also has really good acoustics, which could be good, but since I was sitting next to the percussion, it wasn't so good. So this year's Pops Mini-Season comes to an end. At least until the first weekend in December. And even though the music was kinda lame this year, I enjoyed it as always. I'm finally really getting to know other players- which is about time, considering I've played with them now for two years on and off. Sometimes shyness can be the biggest curse in my life.

I reread last years post about this concert. Its interesting to see what has happened in the last year. Remember when Ben said "I'll take Sergei till you can find him a permanent home"? BWHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!!!!!!! Joke's on you, Ben! You have a cat now. A cat that I know you *gasp* really love. And I know he's in a good home :)

Okay. Goodnight. It has been an interesting day. As usual.

Darnit, I knew there was something I meant to do tonight. Oh well; I took a nap instead. I'm glad it went okay; maybe next year, then.

After going to a couple of outdoor movies and a couple of outdoor concerts this summer, I'm becoming quite a fan of this outdoors-in-summer stuff. Isn't it cool to be under the stars when the weather's nice?

Its a deal :-) I thought about putting it on chicagomeetup, but then I thought that was kinda presumptuous. The next one I know I have is also in October. I'm desperately looking for more work, though, so I may come up with something else before then :) There seem to be quite a few musicians in the meetup community. We should all swap dates.

well we can ask how people would feel about it--after all, it's easy enough to skip posts for things one isn't interested in whether they are concerts or baseball games.

True. And speaking of baseball games, I'm definitely interested in going to the Sox game. Depends on how much money I have, but I'd like to go.

well that's the point of the half price night. i'm strapped for money myself, lately. the bleachers, if available, would cost $11. and if we headed for the upper deck, we could get away for $7. my plan is for all who are going to meet beforehand so that we can get tickets together. anyway, i'll keep you in the loop. i'm trying to collect e-mail addresses for people who want to go so that we're not dependent on the vagaries, of LJ, closer to the time.
